“You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else.” - Albert Einstein
When you start, you have to learn the rules of the game. You have to find out all the details of the endeavor you are starting in. You must learn all the ins and outs of creating success in your chosen field. You must get the basic knowledge to be able to participate in your niche.
This is the part almost anyone can accomplish. The information is out there. You just have to locate it and take action on it.
Now most will learn the rules of the game they want to play. Very few will take the next step to get to the point where you play the game better than anyone else - PRACTICE. To become successful in what you want, you must put in effort above what the average person does.
This means practicing the skills you need to succeed when no one is watching.
It means continuing to learn and grow your knowledge to become even better at what you do.
For many, it will mean putting in longer hours than others are willing to put in.
It will mean sacrifice in some way, shape or form; whether this is skipping sleep, working late, holding a job while creating a business, missing functions other consider important, cutting back on unnecessary expenses to have the funds needed, etc.
This effort will often involve taking some kind of risk most others would never consider taking.
And for each person, it will mean conquering some kind of fear in their way to their version of success.
These actions are all part of the 'whatever it takes' I talk about frequently.
Are you willing to put in the work to play better than anyone else?
When you are, success is there for the taking.
Let's make this your year!
