Value Your time

How do you value your time?  

Do you just give it away without thinking about what it is worth?  This is very common among entrepreneurs.  I work with so many business owners, coaches and trainers who have never charged anywhere close to the value they provide… or even just give away their knowledge.    

One thing I learned is when you value your time, and charge for it accordingly, others value the advice and direction coming out of your time together.  When you give your time away you actually could be cheating the other person out of ever making the change necessary to create more in their life and getting any results at all. 

Think how many people you know who are quick to give you advice, sometimes without even being asked for it.  Do you pay as much attention to them as you do someone you are paying for what could be the same advice?  

What is the difference between the two?  

One easy to identify difference is because you have invested money in whatever area they are helping you.  When another person has a resource of their own invested, they tend to take more action than if the assistance is given away.

Now the flip side is the best part because it creates a win-win for both parties.  Since they are paying you for your time, you are making additional income working with people who are more serious about taking action in their lives and creating change.  The additional income is fantastic!  The added bonus is the people who value your time are often easier to work with and are willing to do whatever it takes to create the change they want in their life.
