Chris Phillips

Chris Phillips has been an Entrepreneur for over 12 years and in the transportation field for over 30 years.

He has been a Real Estate Investor since 2008, starting with single family home rentals in Indiana and now fixing and flipping homes in both Indiana and his home state of New York.

Starting with coaching from successful business coach Loral Langemeier, who helped form a solid business foundation, Chris and his wife, Lynn, started a franchise providing freight solutions called InXpress.

While learning from some of the most successful people in Real Estate investing, such as Robyn Thompson, Andy Heller, Marko Rubel, Cameron Dunlap, Larry Harbolt and Kent Clothier, they have helped him drive a successful Real Estate Investing business.

Recently the interest of commercial properties has driven Chris to learn from both Terry Hale and Paul Finck the art of Commercial Investing and, in a short time, he has been able to gain the knowledge and passion to be currently working on multiple, multi-million dollar properties.

Chris is a proud father and step-father of four beautiful children and two adorable grandchildren.  He looks forward to spending a lot more time with them as he knows what his business will give him.

Corliss C. Wood

Corliss C. Wood has impacted many individuals with the purpose of bringing out the best in them. She inspires through the use of their individual talents in developing self-confidence and self-motivation.  As mediocrity has little room in her life, she strives to empower others to achieve excellence in all areas of their life.

Corliss is the mother of two sons, one son with LD (learning disability) – PDD & Autism.  She has spent the majority of their childhood challenging them to become as independent as possible.  She believes empowering children / teenagers to become independent will provide self-confidence in the teen and freedom to the parent.  Utilizing some of the same techniques, she has also been successful working with adults.

As much as she enjoys empowering others, she also enjoys keeping herself active as an entrepreneur.  Real estate has been a part of her life since childhood, as her family owned several properties in California and she and her brother were the “cheap hired help.” The work ethic she possesses today to “get the job done” can be attributed to her parents who always expected excellence.  She is a person who thinks outside the box, one who is willing to build, work, dream, create and circumvent mediocrity.

Corliss’ desire to fulfill the dream of becoming an entrepreneur was greatly inspired by Robert Kiyosaki the author of  “Rich Dad Poor Dad” and a few others in the real estate world: Sherman Ragland, Peter Gauthier, and Paul Finck just to name a few.  With a focus on creating multiple streams of income and a desire to pursue her dream as an entrepreneur, her mind explodes with creativity that fuels her passion to empower individuals to become the very best they can be.

Helping others find new cheese

Inspiring those with low self-esteem, build self-confidence

I figured it was just as easy to list the info first.

I was born and raised on Long Island.  I had lived for about 5 yrs in Kansas and Iowa.  Total lifestyle change. After I moved back to NY I became a NY City Transit Police. In case you don’t know what that means; I rode the subways. Always did the late tours they were better and had less bosses to deal with. I got out after 12 years due to a knee injury. The job was great and met some really wonderful people.

I am recently married 6yrs. I married my high school sweetheart. Being that we got married late in life we do not have any children.

We sold the house in NY and moved to Fl. We live just below Tampa. Bought a condo. Great neighbors but I really miss not having a backyard. Too many rules for my taste.  May have to think about moving again.   In this community there is a free ambulance service. It is run by all volunteers. So since I was one of the younger people living here I figured I would be a help out. They asked me to an EMB (that is the most basics there is).  I then put in for a job as an EMT and got it. This is the shortest travel time I have ever had to any job.  I still work there.

When I say we moved to Fl.  I also meant my sister, aunt, and three girlfriends.

When one of my girlfriends got laid-off, she approached me about opening a business. So we did. It is a shoe store, Naot Plus, and we work out of a mall in Clearwater Fl.  Owned the business now for 2yrs. It is doing well but need to grow more.

As for my off time we enjoy dining out, barbeques at friends house (she has 5 acres of land I’m jealous) I am still checking out all the local attractions (museums, various festivals, parks and things like that). Of course being in FL yes the beaches are great so is boating.

Ken Wenrick

Ken is an entrepreneur, author, speaker, real estate investor and educator. He likes to say it’s been a “great ride” to get to this point. For the past 28 years, Ken has experienced multiple levels of business challenges and an enormous amount of success.

Early in his career, while at IBM he demonstrated an amount of value to the company by implementing programs and procedures that saved the company over $100,000,000 per year and he received much recognition for that. This gave him the exposure and confidence to branch out on his own and follow a more entrepreneurial path.

In addition to IBM, Ken has consulted and worked with companies like Intel, Motorola and Microchip and has authored several published papers and has been a featured speaker at several “High Tech” industry events.

He traveled throughout the US, Canada and Mexico as a sales manager for a technology company where he trained, motivated and managed multiple sales organizations consisting of hundreds of sales personnel.

Since then, he went on to build several multi-million dollar businesses in the “technology” arena and in real estate.

His first solo enterprise was Advanced Filtration Systems, a company that provided engineering solutions and clean air filtration products and services to the high tech industry.  Soon after, he began investing in real estate and found a new passion. With that, he built a multi-million dollar portfolio of income properties.

Always raising the bar, Ken had a desire to “build something” or as he says, “I like to create” therefore his land development business began. While developing and building homes in an area near Phoenix, he met the perfect realtor to market his properties and eventually, he married that realtor, Sylvia Howard.

Ken currently has a business buying and selling land and continues to invest in residential and commercial properties. His most recent business venture is to educate, train and coach others how to invest. He is currently writing books on the subjects of real estate, investing and personal development. His mission: Create Inspire and Motivate.

Lynn Phillips

Lynn Phillips has been a real estate investor for over two years, buying single-family homes and holding them for rentals.

She started buying foreclosures in Indianapolis, for rehabbing and flipping, and recently bought her first foreclosure in her home state of New York.

After attending many boot camps and seminars, Lynn has received an extensive education in business and real estate from Laurel Langemeier, Robyn Thompson, Lee Phillips, Pete Gauthier, Terry Hale, Marko Rubel, Cameron Dunlop, Dean Graziosi and Chris Wise.  Along with her husband, Chris, she is now actively looking to get into commercial real estate.  They also have a freight solutions franchise that they are also growing.

Prior to getting into real estate, Lynn was a teaching assistant at the junior high school level.  She is a mother of four wonderful children ranging from 29 to 16 and two precious grandchildren, 3 and 4 months.

She is passionate about her family and is grateful for the time she has to spend with them, as well as her real estate endeavors, and all the potential it offers.  She enjoys traveling, whether it’s for business or pleasure, and looks forward to a year of many great things!

Mark McKenzie

Passion is the key to all things worthwhile. Without it, all things fall short of their potential. I have always been the type to bring my utmost passion into everything I do. Being in the Music Industry for the past seventeen years as the owner of the Auburn Guitar Shoppe as well as an active musician in the region has awarded me the pleasure to do what I love for a living. I love to make music and I love to help people enhance their musical experiences through assisting with proper gear, instruction, and advice.

Also loving to always achieve more and conquer new challenges, I have been investing in real estate for nearly ten years with a more intense focus in this exciting field over the past two years. Starting with land investments, McKenzie Properties has acquired our first residential units over the past year and is now expanding our focus to include commercial investments.

I have devoted much time toward professional and personal development to include working with and supporting national speakers in these arenas as well as the real estate field. This is another new and exciting business venture that holds very promising potential for future growth.

I am married to the woman of my dreams, Shannon Rae McKenzie. Always believing in me, she is key to my continued success with her rock solid support. We are the parents of five and the grandparents of two. I continue to learn more and more about myself from all of my children.

I, Mark McKenzie, am a businessman, a father, a husband, a musician, a dreamer, and an unstoppable achiever! I can only imagine what the future holds…….

Shannon McKenzie

My name is Shannon Rae McKenzie, I am a wife, mother, business owner, real estate investor, entrepreneur, idea generator, analyzer, negotiator, teacher, student, and empowering problem-solver. I am inspiring, courageous, caring, life-loving, environmentally friendly, always evolving, an unstoppable resilient woman, and most importantly I am me and happy to be the person I am today.

I attended Auburn University where I earned my bachelors degree and specialized in the area of Family and Child Development. Since graduating college, I have established a diverse career background working with children, adults and families in different areas of social services. More recently my primary focus has been working in the field of behavior analysis and early intervention for children clinically diagnosed with Autism as well as Developmentally Delayed children with special needs as a assistant director, teacher and supervisor. Prior to that, I worked at a youth detention facility as a teacher and behavior specialist, a high security mental institution and hospital for mentally ill adult male patients as an art therapist, a grant funded program specializing in abstinence awareness for a 4th and 5th graders in a low socioeconomic area as a teacher, and at a medicaid waiver program for indigent pregnant women in five county health departments as an educational instructor.

I thoroughly enjoy working with people. Over the past few years I have transitioned into real estate investing and coaching as well as professional and personal development.

I have continued to incorporate my passion and unique background experience into these endeavors. This has proven to enhance my overall satisfaction and growth as a person and professional. McKenzie Properties allows me to uniquely structure our property management/investment company to a set standard that which I can employ an affordable personal touch to each and every investment we undertake. Vision, passion and a knack for turning an undesirable dated property into a desirable beautiful home at an affordable price for a family is my goal. Designing an affordable, quality home to meet the needs of a well deserved individual or family is a non-negotiable standard that we honorably stand by.

My motto: “Where There Is A Will, There Is A Way”

Sylvia Howard

Hello! My name is Sylvia Howard

I was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised from the age of 10 in Phoenix ,Arizona where I currently reside. My paternal Grandfather came to the US from Poland via Ellis Island and My Mother is from Honduras, Central America. She moved to the US in the 60’s. I was named after my mother, Sylvia, and I am proud to carry her name. She is a strong and powerful woman. I’ve done a lot of things in my life starting pretty young, I was in Retail and  Banking, I am a licensed Nail Technician , I was a bartender for ten years, I operated a Tree Service and now I’ve been a Realtor since 2003.

I really enjoy helping others fulfill their dreams of home ownership.

I’ve been  married since 2007 to a wonderful man, Ken Wenrick. He is charming , handsome, intelligent, articulate, caring and ambitious. Qualities I admire and wish to emulate.

I am a free spirit, I love the outdoors, traveling, dancing , skiing, boating, hiking, reading, photography and I have to admit I am a bit of a computer geek. I like all things about the creative process. I am outspoken and have no problem taking charge. I am brutally honest and pride myself on my sense of integrity. One way to describe me is I am like Flip Wilson (remember him?)” What You See is What You Get” I wear my heart on my sleeve, I love animals and I have a sensitive streak a mile wide. That being said I can be very tough when pushed and have been known to slay others with my sharp tongue. I also suffer from foot in mouth syndrome, thankfully with age I am able to control that better than in the past. I still have to bite my tongue often.

I have been on a journey for personal development for a number of years and I feel that in the last year I’ve grown exponentially.  Like many people I’ve been to the school of hard knocks and nothing will keep me down. I want my journey to take me on the path to enlightenment and my goal is to help others get there too.

I am a natural optimist and rarely stay sad for long, life is too short.

I hope to make an impact on the lives of those who need hope and inspiration.

Especially women who don’t believe they are worthy , or have been abused.

That’s my story and I’m stickin to it

Goals

Mark McKenzie

2011 Goals: Mark McKenzie

I.                    $100K Net Income Increase Over 2010

A.   Why do I want it?

This accomplishment will help provide the means to offer my family the lifestyle they deserve. Family is the primary “Why” here. I have lived hand to mouth for most of my life and it is past time to take the necessary actions to change this for my family’s sake and for my personal peace of mind. This will bring some needed personal debt relief as well. This goal is an integral step toward the five year goal of doubling net income increase yearly through 2015.

B.   When will I accomplish it?

By 12/31/2011.

C.   What will I give up to get it?

I will give up the tendency to do everything myself.

D.   What must I overcome?

Challenges with delegation, time management, follow through skills. Must overcome distractions that send me off track and certain personal habits that rob me of time and energy.

E.    How can I make it happen in the fastest period of time?

By the immediate execution and success of the goals listed below.

F.     How will I feel as the person a year from now with this goal accomplished?

I will feel ultimately successful with the confidence of knowing I can accomplish anything and the drive to continue forward into 2012 with unstoppable momentum.

II.              Shoppe Sales +20%=$1,051,908.53

A.   Why do I want it?

This increase is needed by The Shoppe to offset slightly softer figures in 2010 and get it back on track for steady growth.

B.   When will I accomplish it?

By 12/31/2011

C.   What will I give up to get it?

Again the tendency to do everything myself. This portion is well underway with the recent acquisition of our new office manager.

D.   What must I overcome?

I must overcome communication barriers between myself and my staff and set clear goals of the vision I have for the Shoppe. I must become an expert at delegating tasks and managing tasks to completion.

E.    How can I make it happen in the fastest period of time?

This goal will be reached by a combination of increased floor sales and significantly increased e-commerce sales. The synchronization of these two will be honed. Inventory turn and stocking management will also play an important role. The addition of two more key power team members is in the works. Constant sales training of and communication with staff will most effectively keep our pace toward this goal up.

F.     How will I feel as the person a year from now with this goal accomplished?

I will feel like the strong leader I am. My team will share the feeling of this success knowing they have the leader they desire, need, and deserve.
