Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday’s from the Finck Family. YES – It’s the Christmas season once again. It’s the season to be merry and give gifts. We have everything done; the decorations set, the presents purchased, gifts wrapped. And speaking of gifts, realize – you give your family, friends, and loved ones gifts in the spirit of this season and yet you may overlook someone else very important in your life – yourself? This holiday season; give yourself something effortless, the gift of being nice to yourself.
Here are some simple things you can do now to treat yourself:
1) Treat yourself to living a healthy lifestyle by watching what you eat. Go easy on the junk food, or removing it completely from your system (better yet). Eat healthy stuff like fruits and veggies. Also drink as much water as you can. When you want to treat yourself, you know that your health always comes first.
2) Cheer yourself up — buy some flowers for yourself or treat yourself to a special treat during the day. Yes, you read it right — why wait for other people to buy these items for you? Flowers, for instant, always brighten up any day! Instead of waiting for others to cheer you up, you can have the initiative of having your own quick fix-me-up.
2a) How about the ultimate – enjoy a spa day! Yes, this is the ultimate “me-time” wherein you get to pamper and relax yourself at the hands of the experts. It doesn’t matter if your male or female we all need to get pampered from time to time. At the spa, it’s just you, yourself, and well, the masseuse to bring you some rejuvenating glory.
3) Start (or maintain) your daily journal. In your journal, you have the ability to be yourself, uninhibited and revealing. You have the liberty to edit, censor, or disclose all your personal thoughts and feelings, and powerfully track your glorious journey.
At the end of the day, the best Christmas gift you can give yourself is to be nice to yourself all year long.
Enjoy the holidays and Merry Christmas!
